Healthy Eating

Healthy Eating

What problem does it solve? Obesity and unhealthy habits is a growing problem in our community that is affecting our lives. What is your solution and who does it apply to? Many families in NJ need the support from NJ SNAP formerly known as Food Stamps to supply their families with nutritious food. Unfortunately, NJ SNAP is being utilized to buy food that can be unhealthy to our families. A credit or gaming system where families can earn points towards more funding towards their NJ SNAP when they buy nutritious food can motivate our community to eat healthier. What we put into our bodies affect our health. Better health means less doctor visits. What is the anticipated impact? Our community can learn healthier eating habits to support a strong immune system and have less doctor visits.
