What problem does it solve? It takes a lot of time and energy for supervisors to figure out who is here, who forgot to sign in, or who signed in falsely. What is your solution and who does it apply to? Having swipe time clocks and scheduling software that allows staff to "sign in" using their badge. We already swipe into the buildings using our badges. It eliminates the necessity of paper time sheets, decreases possibility and suspicion of staff falsifying time, and provides real time data on which staff are present for their shift. It would help supervisors be able to see who is at work a lot easier, and it would help staff no longer need to remember to go to a separate office to sign in and out for the day and for break. What is the anticipated impact? Less working hours spent on checking attendance and time sheet verification. It would also lower chances of falsified time sheets and is more time efficient for employees to not have to go back and forth between a physical time sheet.
This is a terrible idea. Management already takes an advesarial position on time. Before you know it, you will have to swipe to go to the bathroom, swipe to go to lunch, swipe coming back from lunch., etc. I think you get the point.
I do not think this idea will help technology is not accurate most f the time of the time it will cost more to replace than to keep.
